Highland Gives Back Through Samet Corporation’s Women At Work: Pencil Project – School Supply Drive
As students prepare to head back to the classroom, Highland Roofing Company is proud to support Women At Work: Project Pencil School Supply Drive, Samet Corporation’s annual back-to-school initiative that provides essential school supplies to local schools and students. Each year, the program brings together businesses throughout the community to give back, with a different local school or group selected as the recipient. This year, all donated supplies will benefit Rachel Freeman School of Engineering, an elementary school located in Wilmington, helping students and teachers begin the school year equipped for success.
Highland contributed approximately $200 worth of school supplies, including everything from pencils, erasers, notebooks, and folders to backpacks and more. While these items may seem simple, they play an important role in helping students feel prepared and confident on the first day of school while providing teachers with the classroom essentials they rely on throughout the year.
At Highland, we believe that building stronger communities extends beyond the roofs we install. Supporting local schools and organizations is one of the many ways we strive to make a positive impact in the communities we serve. We are grateful for partners like Samet who create opportunities for businesses to invest in their communities through initiatives like Women at Work: Project Pencil, and we are honored to contribute to an effort that will help local students start the school year with the tools they need to learn and succeed.
